Every time I go to see a stage play, I always walk away with at least one line of dialogue that blows me away! Well, tonight was no exception! I just recently returned home from seeing,
WAITING ON THE RAIN, written by and starring,
STEPHEN SLATES. The play depicts the journey of a small-town boy from Tennessee who moves to La La Land with his gorgeous girlfriend to make their names in Tinseltown. Their plans don't go quite as expected. But regarding the line I'll always remember? It was spoken by another, terrific character in the play to the woman who just dumped him:
"At the end of the day, the only thing you're giving is pretty. And you're almost out of that."
Ahhh, what a BRILLIANT line!!!!!
