Miss Cicely Tyson, R.I.P. (1924-2021)

I was nine years old when The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman originally aired. We watched it as a family. 

The scene I vividly remember most was when an elderly Miss Jane took her first sip from a water fountain designated for Whites Only. That courageous act desegregated that fountain!

What a powerful scene. 

What a powerful WOMAN! 

Miss Cicely Tyson, may your compassionate soul rest in eternal peace.

2021, I Thank You In Advance

By December 31st, 2021, the following will have occurred in my life:

1.) PURCHASED my new, two-bedroom, two and a half-bath condo.

2.) BOOKED a lucrative, long-term contract as a commercial spokesman.

3.) BOOKED a lucrative, long-term contract as a commercial voice actor.

4.) ENJOYED my first skydiving jump.

5.) PLACED a minimum SIX DIGITS in all (6) of my financial accounts.

6.) VISITED my pals in MN, NYC, CT and IN.

7.) LEASED a HYUNDAI GV80!

8.) RETURNED as a volunteer with the elderly!

9.) WRITTEN the first ACT of the film idea that keeps poppin' up in my head ("17-56" is its title)!

10.) CONTINUED to treat EVERYBODY I encounter the precise way I want to be treated.

10.) CONTINUED to give GRATITUDE for everything I AM. And for MANY things I'm NOT!

Out With The OLD And In With the NEW YEAR

Well, let's just say 2020 was somethin' else!!! 

I ended the year simply feeling IMMEASURABLY GRATEFUL for my MANY BLESSINGS!

My FAMILY!

My HEALTH!

My FRIENDS!

My HOME!

My ATTITUDE!

My LANDLORDS!

My SOCIAL MEDIA COMRADES!

Our PRESIDENT & VICE PRESIDENT-ELECT!

Yeah, this Covid pandemic has been a real BUMMER, to say the least.

But I'm still here!

Let me say that LOUDER for the folks in the back row: I'M STILL HERE!

And I STILL treat EVERYBODY I encounter the PRECISE way I want to be treated!!!!

I wish EVERYONE a GLORIOUSLY JOYFUL and PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!!!!
