Allen Iverson was selected as the #1 pick in the 1996 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. He was named the NBA Rookie of the Year in the 1996–97 season. He was also the NBA Most Valuable Player of the 2000–01 season and led his team to the NBA Finals that post-season. He is a ten-time, NBA All-Star which includes winning the All-Star MVP award in 2001 and 2005. He was traded to the Denver Nuggets. Then to the Detroit Pistons. Then to the Memphis Grizzlies. He has been paid millions and millions of dollars but has never won an NBA championship. He is no longer with the Grizzlies. He isn't playing for anyone. Many say he is done. I hope & pray he doesn't define himself by his job. I hope & pray he doesn't.
