Absolutely NOT!

Listen, I won't make a big deal out of this, but I'm not a fan of cats.

I'm just not.

I don't hate them.  Nor even strongly dislike them.

But I don't have love for them.

Not one ounce.

Even when they're cute little kittens, I still don't feel all warm and fuzzy inside like I do with puppies.

Anyway, the video below just adds to my lack of love for cats.

What is it with all the ATTITUDE????

Take THAT, Mr. Trump! :)

Visit Rollence's website to view his new photo series We The People.

Heavens To Betsy

President-elect Donald J. Trump's nominee to head the Department of Education, Mrs. Betsy DeVos, was skewered like a shish-kebob by Democratic senators, during her confirmation hearing.

Honestly, I felt bad for her.  I mean, I can only imagine how absolutely FRIGHTENED she was during the questioning she had to endure.

But truth be told, after listening to her answers (when she composed herself enough to actually give any), it doesn't appear that she's the best fit for the job.

But this is President-elect Donald J. Trump's nominee, so I suspect, just like him, she'll waltz right into the gig as if she was the ONLY person suited for the job!

And, oh, the new house she and her husband recently had built in Michigan is a beauty!

At least it's apparent she's well-suited for building houses!!!!!!!!!  :)

God, help us all!

Let It Rain, Let It Rain, Let It Rain

We've been blessed here in L.A. with rain for the past few days, and I've LOVED every, single drop!!!!

I have to admit, though, that at night, I find it difficult to see the street lanes during the downpours; so, I drive nice and slowly!

I see folks complaining about the rain on Facebook, but they must be out of their minds since this state needs rain like a ski resort needs snow!

Truth be told, I hope it rains every night for the rest of the week.

I like hearing the sound of it beating down on the roof of the car.

And hitting the windows.

I just LOVE it!!!!!!!

Absolutely LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!!

So Long

Today was President Barack Obama's farewell address.

It's over.

Eight years.

Gone!  Just like that!

He headed back to Chicago to say farewell.

I wonder if my sister attended the event.  I'll have to call her to ask.

Anyway, on the 20th, he turns over the reins of power to a new President.

A new President I did NOT vote into office.

A new President who is proving himself to be quite "different" from ALL his predecessors.  But enough about that cat!  It's all about President Barack Obama at the moment.

He has endured ZERO, public, family scandals.

He and Michelle have gone HIGH when detractors went LOW.

I haven't agreed with all of his actions, but, heck, I don't even agree with all MINE, either.

I applaud his hand in health reform.

I applaud his hand in marriage equality.

Farewell, President Barack Obama.

Farewell, First Lady Michelle Obama.

Despite my wariness about President-elect Donald J. Trump, I will not wish failure on his incoming administration.

Because I am an American.

A PROUD and THANKFUL American.

So long, Obama Family.  I wish you, and every living being on this planet, the very BEST life has to offer!

Huff & Puff

Whew!  I learned something new today.

Okay, so it wasn't so new.

Let's just say, something was PROVEN to me today.

I am NOT in as good a shape as I thought I was!

This morning, a young fella invited me to hike a mountain he just recently discovered.  And like a fool fun and adventurous friend, I accepted.

Lawd, I had no idea the mountain was inside my go-to park: Griffith.  But it was on a side of the park I haven't explored.

Honestly, it was uphill on rocky terrain.  And this ol' boy was POOPED!

I mean, I had to stop two or three times before we reached the summit; just so I could catch my breath!

That's a dang shame, too, 'cause I walk in the park every, single day.  But on FLAT LAND!  And that makes one helluva difference.

By the time we reached the mountaintop, I wanted to scream, THANK YOU, JESUS!  You know what?  I think I DID!

Some kind soul had left a notebook and a pen at the summit so that all us crazy folks who dare hike up there could write down what we were thinking.  So, you know I did just that!  I simply said 2017 is gonna be a GREAT year for me!  And that's what I believe!

I think I had better tackle this mountain several more times until it's as easy familiar to me as the daily walking I usually do.

What I know for sure is...

My HEART would appreciate it!

Three Days In

Okay, so we're three days into the New Year and I'm still feelin' as good as I felt in the old year.  Not too shabby, right?

In the past, I've sometimes written down goals for the new year; but truth be told, I've never really been that vigilant about accomplishing those goals; so, as a result, oftentimes I didn't.  This year, I'm doin' something different.

I'm gonna follow the lead of Quincy Braxton Esq., a 25-year-old cat who penned his 2016 goals on paper, in the form of a To Do List, then worked tirelessly and accomplished each and every one of 'em:

Now, to me, that's HELLA IMPRESSIVE!

I've never written down several goals for the year and accomplished each and every one of 'em.

Never!

But, dangit, 2017 is a new year!

ANYTHING is possible!

As long as I IDENTIFY what I want, then WORK DILIGENTLY toward it!
