Dear Theodosia

Leslie Odom Jr & Lin-Manuel Miranda

My OBSESSION with the Broadway smash hit, HAMILTON, has me listening to the soundtrack day in and day out!!!!!!!!!

My absolute favorite songs are: Alexander Hamilton, The Schuyler Sisters, Satisfied, Wait For It, Say No To This, Right Hand Man, A Winter's Ball, Guns And Ships, Cabinet Battle #2.

I find myself searching YouTube, looking for live performances by the uber-talented cast.

The song that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside is Dear Theodosia. It's performed by Leslie Odom Jr as "Aaron Burr" and Lin-Manuel Miranda as "Alexander Hamilton."

About the song: Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton both had children very soon after the Revolutionary War. Here they take a moment to coo, and to realize the human element of the country they are just beginning to build. The song again brings up the similarities in their lives—their orphanhoods, their Revolutionary war experiences, their parenthoods, and their desire to take part in laying “a strong enough foundation” in the new United States. Leslie Odom Jr sings the song live all by himself and KILLS it!!!!
