Taking A Bite Outta The Big Apple And Connecticut

Seven days is simply not enough to galavant around Manhattan!!!

But, ooooh, I did my best!!!

I surprised the heck outta one of my dearest friends when I popped up at her house!!! Her partner and two sons (the taller one is my godson) were in on my surprise, and it went off perfectly!!!!

We walked her dog, Petey, around her lovely neighborhood and dined in some really terrific restaurants. Who knew Fairfield, CT is so dang beautiful? I mean, what an absolutely awesome place to raise a family. Honestly, she has created one of the coziest homes I've ever had the pleasure to visit. Bravo, Madeline, bravo!!!

I visited with two other incredible women while in NYC, but when I was with them, we were too busy yackin' and eating and drinking and laughing to capture photos like I did with Madeline. Next time! Next time!!!

I walked from
Washington Square Park in the Village to Central Park. I walked The High Line to 34th St. I wish I could have climbed the Vessel but because there have been several suicides there, the structure is closed to visitors. I  prayed in St. Patrick's Cathedral

Oh! I wouldn't have left NYC without hitting up my favorite frozen margarita joint:
Dallas BBQ!!! Its Times Square location is enormous!!!

God willing, NYC, I'll be back!!! πŸ‘πŸΏ✊πŸΏπŸ™ŒπŸΏπŸ™πŸΏ

New Shirt! New Slacks! New Attitude!

Of late, I've been thinking I want to dress in something other than sweats, t-shirts and cargo shorts!

So, I turned to my favorite stores, Burlington and Ross Dress For Less and bought myself some new threads!!!!

I even wore the pictured outfit for a recent acting gig!!! Yep, my new clothing looked even nicer than what the wardrobe lady could have given me!!!

Next up, I'll sport my two, new suits!!!

The Real St. NICK

This past weekend, I hung out with one of my favorite, former Enterprise Rent-A-Car employees. The incredible Mr. Nick Neville! He used to be responsible for making sure customers slid into spic and span vehicles. Now, he's determined to be cast on one of these dating shows. His show of choice is Netflix's The Circle. He'd love to be on The Bachelor and Love Island, too, but those shows require the male cast to have bodies chiseled from stone. And Nick isn't quite there yet. But workin' on it! 😜

Before we went to check out Ryan Reynolds' new film, Free Guy, I took photos of Nick so he could select one or two of 'em to submit to The Circle. The image above is one of my favorites from the batch. I hope the show casts him, 'cause he truly wants to go on it.

I couldn't end his impromptu photo shoot without having him snap a couple of pics of yours truly, too!!!

Cynthia, Sweet Cynthia

Last night, I was blessed to hear the angelic voice of Cynthia Erivo at the world famous HOLLYWOOD BOWL!!!

Cynthia's talents absolutely amaze me! She can go from a soft whisper to an earth-shaking belt like it's nothing!

I look forward to watching and supporting her rise in this crazy business called SHOW!!!

Until We Meet Again

Late last night, my 34-year-old nephew rode his motorcycle for the last time.

Yesterday, he did whatever he did...

For the last time.

My eldest sister and her daughter (his beloved sister) will miss him immeasurably.

His aunts, uncles, cousins, children and friends will do the same.

Yes, I am fully aware that all living beings have a finite amount of time on this planet.

Then we go.

That knowledge doesn't lessen the pain of losing someone.

I hope and pray his life was filled with more joy than sorrow.

I hope and pray that his mother, sister and every life he touched will always cling to their great memories of him.

He was incredibly talented with his hands.

His personality was infectious.

And don't get me started on his brilliant smile with those phenommmmmmenal teeth!!!

Quincy Dwayne Montgomery, you were loved.

You are loved.

And will always be.

May your soul rest in eternal peace.

Our family will not say, "Goodbye, dear nephew."

We'll simply say, "Until we meet again..."
