Ripe & Juicy

When it comes to selecting a watermelon, I subscribe to the belief that the heaviest one with a big yellow patch is the winner.

Most often, my picks are on the money. But sometimes they aren't.

This time, I hit pay dirt!!!

Ripe and juicy describe this baby!!!

I'm down to the clear container. Emptied the other two within two days. 

I can't get enough of watermelon.

Self-Love Is Paramount

Thankful For Being ME!!!

I am 58 years blessed, with 59 lurking around the corner!!!

That's not middle-aged.

It's older.

It's knocking on the door of my 3rd and final Act.

I believe a long life is akin to the writer's beloved 3-Acts.

Act I is birth to 30.

Act II is 30 to 60.

Act III is 60 to death.

Feeling this way compels me to stop SEARCHING for, WISHING for and WORRYING about ANYTHING!!!

Now, I do whatever I can to enjoy EVERY breath I'm blessed to take.

This past Saturday night, I walked in the rain from my place in NoHo to Studio City and back, loving EVERY drop of rain that clouded my eyeglasses and soaked my sweater.

I acknowledge now that I'm richer than the majority of the world's inhabitants.

And probably more THANKFUL too. 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿 

Indianapolis Discovery Ball 2022

This year, the American Cancer Society's DISCOVERY BALL was as terrific as it usually is!!!

The gala is an opportunity for all five of my siblings and me to get together in remembrance of our eldest sister, Deb, who passed away from cancer in 1990 at the age of 40.

My brother purchases the tickets and the rest of us show up in full force!

We also make monetary donations via live and/or silent auctions.

I deem it a true pleasure to return to Indianapolis each year to attend this event.

Prior to stepping out, of course a couple of my sisters and I have to do a fashion show! Ha!

Hulu's Bite Size Halloween series is back with new episodes!!!

And guess WHO stars in one of those episodes...

Yep! ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MR. CROCKET is my Hulu debut!!!

Written and directed by the hardest working horror buff himself, BRANDON ESPY!!!

Also starring Cecelia Friday and Juliano Valdi.

This film is truly a blessing to me because I haven't performed in a theatrical production in ages. And never have I performed in a horror project. But dangit, here I am!!!

I know "they" say never work with children and animals, but Juliano was a true professional. I think I scared him at first, but he grew to appreciate a bloodied brother. 

And Cecelia...well, Cecelia is an acting BADASS!!! PERIOD!

Sitting in the hair and makeup chair delivered a pretty spooky look!!! Heck, I haven't had hair that long since...well...since I was a TEENAGER!!! 

After putting in all the work to make this film, it made my heart SING when I read that written review!!!

And I jumped for JOY when I listened to this podcast review!!!!!

I mean, WOW!!!

There's no better way to wrap up this post than to play the film's theme song!!!

A song I was scared crapless to record since I don't fancy myself a singer. 

Thank goodness there's an invention called AUTO-TUNE!!! Haaaa!
