The Weight Of The World

At one time, Al Sharpton weighed 300+ lbs.  Today, he's hovering somewhere around 130 lbs.  

What I know for sure is that if being this size makes him feel better, so be it.  But to me, he looks incredibly thin. I've never had a weight "problem," so I don't know what he's thinking.  

I hope he loves himself.  Regardless his weight.  

Partly Cloudy

Today I received the results back from my colonoscopy.  I'm THRILLED to say that there were NO polyps spotted.

What I'm NOT thrilled about is that my colon WASN'T completely clear of "debris."  I was told to only eat clear foods the day before the procedure.  So, I thought the chicken broth I purchased would do the trick.

Well, when I opened the broth, I noticed that it wasn't clear like I'm used to.  It was cloudy.  Who knew that organic free range broth looks different than regular broth?  I sure didn't.

When I looked at one of the images of my colon, I felt like a heel for not being thoroughly cleaned out.  I know I should be happy that after the cloudy liquid was vacuumed out of my colon, there were no polyps visible.  And I AM happy about that.  But dangit, I pride myself on being the consummate patient.  I wanted to be applauded by the doctor for having a colon as clean as the Board Of Health!  But, oh no, that damn cloudy broth effed me up!

In today's consultation I was told that since my colon wasn't whistle clean, I should come back within five years and have another colonoscopy.  So, I'll do just that.

Goodness gracious!  Some folks absolutely LOATHE the aging process!  With a PASSION!  God bless her.  If she feels good, I'm good!

Clean As A Whistle

Good Colon Prep

Walked into the hospital today for my colonoscopy at 8 AM.  Was on the table and being seen at 2:30 PM.  Yes, a COLOSSAL waste of my time.  But truth be told, I'm THRILLED to have had the procedure done!

Two weeks from now I go back for a follow-up review of what the doctor saw!

All I know is he had better seen nothin' 'cept SUNSHINE! :)

THIS is what the procedure looks like:

All Clear

At this very moment I'm in the midst of drinking the prescribed liquid to prepare for tomorrow's colonoscopy!  I've downed (6) 8-oz glasses thus far.  I don't feel anything.  And the liquid doesn't taste as wretched as folks warned me.  It was flavored with lemon, so maybe that's why it doesn't taste nasty.  Actually, it's reminiscent of Gatorade.

Well, I'm gonna keep drinking until everything is cleared from my colon.  I haven't used the bathroom even once yet since drinking the liquid, so I'm sure it's a-comin'!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a patient man, so what will be, will be!!!  :)

Two weeks ago, BIG BROTHER 16 wrapped and I'm happy to say the show has been picked up for two more seasons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As usual, I had a terrific time working with the contestants this season.  Truth be told, I just really like meeting new people and hearing their stories.

So, here's to next summer (whether I'm back or not)!!!!!!!!!!
