INDIANA KNOWS MY NAME
I have a favorite, new song and it's co-written and performed by Wabash College alum, George Pippen.
I met George while he was an undergraduate.
His debut single, INDIANA KNOWS MY NAME, sounds absolutely AWESOME to my ears.
Its message truly speaks to my soul.
And my life's experience!!!
I moved out of Indiana 36 years ago.
Moved to Manhattan, NYC.
Then to Jersey City, NJ.
Then to Brooklyn, NY.
Then here: Los Angeles County, CA.
At this point, I've lived outside Indiana longer than I lived there.
However, these are the lyrics in George's smash tune that sum up my sentiment to a 'T':
"Oh, lookin' for a home away from home,
But nothin' else feels the same.
This whole country knows my story,
But Indiana, Indiana knows my name."

Patricia read one of the poems, WRINKLES, from her book of poetry: Pat's Poetry.
And I LOVE it!!!!!!

THE ROAD NOT TAKEN
Robert Frost, as we all know, is a poetry great!!!
I was introduced to this poem in second grade.
My neighborhood buddy, John-John, read it aloud in front of the class and our teacher, Mrs. Hazelwood.
And now, I'm reading it aloud!!!
DO NOT STAND AT MY GRAVE AND WEEP
This poem is engraved on my mother's gravestone.
For that reason alone, I simply HAD to record myself reading it!!!
Interestingly enough, its writer, Mary Elizabeth Frye, wrote the poem in 1932.
That's the same year of my mother's birth.
Well, Mama, aka "Miss Juanita," I miss you and wish you well!!!
